Awarded to mountainmanUK for: being the "life" of the BOTA Forum Party; the most prolific & interesting poster; and being the voice of reason and calm in the forums throughout the race's most chaotic times. Not only was Dave instrumental in supporting and helping hundreds of pilots through the forums, but his level-headed approach and reason helped the BORG too at a number of critical junctures. Clearly a leading example of what it means to live, breath and be an example of the "Spirit of BOTA". Dave, we all thank you! Awarded to Greymouse for: being a woman in a race most thought of as a 'race of men' & beating a large number of them in the process; putting to pen the most hilarious collection of mouse-related humor imaginable; and being the only person flying BOTA with the faintest grasp on reality! Kudos to you Laura! Awarded to ovaceo for: contributing the 'most help to freelancers', for his excellent work, thought, administration and support of the Freelance Forum. His efforts helped to create an incredible community through which many pilots found help and support, who would have otherwise packed it in and quit from the race. He significantly helped to reduce the whining and tip requests in the main BOTA forum through the creation and management of the Freelance Forum, and put the needs of others ahead of his own. Thank you Mark!
